Five COREbike debuts

Taking part at next year’s COREbike for the first time are Orbea, PON Bike Performance (PBP UK), Kids Ride Shotgun, Schwalbe and Gtechniq Bike, plus Endura and EBCO Ltd return to Whittlebury line-up.

The PBP UK, (formerly Jungle Products Ltd), portfolio expanded earlier this year with the addition of GT bicycles alongside brand heavyweights Santa Cruz, Cervelo, Juliana and Reserve. The PBP UK team will be resident in the Suzuka room at COREbike which regular visitors will note has been home to GT for the past five shows.

When the opportunity arose to present the PON Bike Performance brands at Whittlebury next year, we couldn’t say no. Supporting the existing GT dealer network is a key priority for us and being at the show helps with continuity for the brand and will be the first opportunity for us to meet the dealer base and introduce them to the new team” Said Phil Stephenson, UK Marketing Manager, “Our first-ever presence at COREbike also means we’re able to speak to new and existing dealers about the other great brands in the line-up and it goes without saying they can expect to see some suitably eye-popping product on display in Suzuka.”

Orbea was born in the heart of the Basque Country, one of the most important cycling territories in the world. The excitement of competition and creative solutions by their members have captured the hearts of riders everywhere. Orbea very much identifies as more than a bike company; it is a cooperative business and a passionate cycling family.

“Orbea has built a global following amongst enthusiasts with models for road, gravel, MTB, urban and juniors, plus eBikes across the range. With our ‘MyO’ production system we are able to create dream bikes for passionate users by allowing dealers the flexibility to customise bikes for their customers to their exact specifications. The opportunity to own a unique Orbea and really stand out from the crowd is proving to be a big hit with fans of the brand. It’s our first COREbike and we’re looking forward to showing off the latest bikes and welcoming dealers and press into the Orbea room.” Damian Hackett, Orbea Country Manager UK & Ireland

CORE visitors can meet the Orbea team in the Melbourne room at Whittlebury.

Rounding up the new arrivals are Kids Ride Shotgun, Schwalbe and Gtechniq Bike. The original Shotgun seat from New Zealand is a seat attachment that fits all MTBs and pretty much all 2-5 year old wannabe shredders. It’s brilliantly simple and just works – as 1000s of parents and happy offspring can testify. Schwalbe have their own room at Whittlebury for the first time although the brand has had a presence with ISON for several years as well as coming to CORE to promote initiatives such as their inner tube recycling programme. You may have also encountered Gtechniq before as they formulate specialized, high-performance ceramic coating products, washes, shampoos for cars and boats. But the company also produces cycling-specific products which dealers can easily utilise as a valuable add-on service for customer bike purchases.

The 2023 line up also includes two returning companies, Ebco Ltd who are back at CORE with EBCO and Corratec bikes, and COREbike regulars Endura will be making the long trip to Whittlebury from West Lothian.
