We’ll be doing a gravel round up of all the bikes to see at COREbike 20, but it would be remiss not to start the ball rolling with the new Colnago G3-X which is Colnago’s take on the ever growing gravel sector.
There is currently one model available in the UK costing £4299.95 RRP and will be available in a choice of metallic green/duck egg blue (show above) or carbon/white. Launched last month, dealers will get it see it up close by visiting Windwave in the Bentleys room at Whittlebury.
The G3X geometry has some noticeable differences especially focused for Gravel and long distance riding, with longer chain stays, lower BB and longer top tube to bring the rider forward and ensure a more compact rider position.
It comes equipped with Shimano’s latest Gravel specific group set (Shimano RX810 Mechanical) and gravel specific tyres from Pirelli at 700x40c to match the frame’s generous tyre clearances. The frame will accept up to 700×42 or 650bx4 depending on tyre brand.
