London-based Brompton Bicycle UK are one of the new additions to the COREbike brand line-up for 2025.
“COREbike has become a key event in the bicycle industry calendar in the UK and the Brompton team are looking forward to being part of the show for the first time.” Said Sam Bannister, UK Sales Manager – Dealers. “We will be showcasing our range of folding bikes, ebikes and accessories including the new multi-terrain G Line and we welcome all CORE visitors to drop in for a chat about becoming a Brompton retailer and to find out about the great dealer support we offer.”
Brompton’s origins date back to 1975 when Andrew Ritchie first penned the idea of a lightweight and compact foldable bike – the end-result was an ingenious three-part fold which meant the rider could fold their bike down to store on a train or small office space in under 20 seconds. The output of the original Brompton factory in Brentford was just 60 hand-built bikes per month, which to evoke the spirit of Henry Ford were all black models made from steel.
Back then Brompton owners were a select club of early-adopters who quickly spotted the potential the bikes could make to their daily lives. But demand for the future design classic rapidly grew around the world and Brompton now makes 100,000 bikes per year at their state-of-the-art factory in London, retailed through 1450 Brompton stockists world-wide.
The Brompton bike range extends from the entry-level A Line up to the titanium T range all offered with a choice of drivetrain options. The brand introduced its eBike model in 2018 which is now available across three lines. The brand has also very successfully broadened its appeal to riders normally not seen as folding bicycle owners, with special editions such as the David Millar inspired CHPT3 bikes and the recent Team GB 2024 model.
Brompton also offer an extensive range of parts for the bikes, plus a variety of bags, helmets as well as a range of clothing including items in collaboration with fellow COREbike exhibitor Endura. With various Brompton clubs, on-line communities and refer a friend schemes, the brand has grown a strong and loyal following from owners of the bikes which is great news for dealers.
Dealers keen to learn their P line from their G, A, T or C can find out all about the Brompton range with the Brompton team in Syndicate room S25 at COREbike 25.
